Fourth grade is an exciting year! The students are always anxious to begin traveling and become more independent. They will have me for every subject except science. They will go to Mrs. Furlong’s room for that subject. Please feel free to contact me if you are unable to find the information you need on this site.

Our beautiful classroom was a new addition to the building in the 2010-2011 甘肃快3走势图 year.

    甘肃快3走势图WORK

甘肃快3走势图work will be based on work not completed during the normal 甘肃快3走势图 day. It will vary daily, and some students may have more than others. Assignment notebooks will be important for students to stay organized and to complete work on time. They are often used as a form of communication between teachers and parents. Teachers check them daily and we ask that you do as well. Students have a ‘Take 甘肃快3走势图’ folder with pockets labeled ‘Things to Keep’ and ‘Things to Return’. We have found that this also helps with organization.

I have flashcards for science and social studies tests located on the site:

Flashcards can be found by going to Study Stack, click on GEOGRAPHY,
click on the DATE heading, and then look for the correct chapter + Logan

Once you have created an account, this is an excellent tool for reviewing and studying.

  甘肃快3走势图WORK

Stories are read aloud in class on Mondays. On Tuesdays, we listen to the story and follow along on the Interactive Whiteboard. A test is then taken over the story. Grades are based on the tests as well as workbook pages completed in class.

The students are given a folder labeled ‘Read Across America’. This will serve as an at 甘肃快3走势图 reading log for the year. Students are to record the number of minutes read at 甘肃快3走势图 each day and return the folder to 甘肃快3走势图 on Mondays. They will make ‘stops’ and receive prizes as they make their way across America!

Daily assignments will be worksheets and exercises found in the book. We will be studying the regions of the United States, and a states and capitals test with be given with each region. Second semester, each student will be assigned a state to complete a report/project on. We will also have a Junior Achievement volunteer visit our classroom to teach a unit.

   ABOUT ME

I have taught at JFK for 25 years. I attended Holy Family, Assumption, and St. Ambrose University. As a result, I have a strong belief in Catholic education. I have a son who is a junior at Assumption and a daughter in 7th grade at JFK. My husband and I feel  blessed that they are able to experience a Catholic education as  well. I enjoy the families and staff at JFK and look forward to getting to know the students each year.
